When will I see a part month charge (Pro-rata amount) on my bill?
You will see a Pro-rata amount on your bill when you first start a plan or change your plan part way through a billing period. We issue you a bill in a regular billing cycle, usually monthly.
So for example, if you have a home phone, mobile, BigPond or FOXTEL service with us, your bill will show a recurring monthly charge for your plan. If, during that billing period, you change your plan, then your next bill will show:
- A credit for the unused portion of the monthly charge you already paid up until the end of the billing cycle, will appear in the Credits & discount section for the applicable service. This is preceded by the word "Adjustment – "
- A pro-rated amount for the recurring charge for the new plan from the date you changed to it until the end of that billing cycle, will appear directly under the description of the new plan, and
- The regular monthly recurring charge for the new plan for the next month.
