How can I check my mobile phone, mobile broadband and Tablet data usage?
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using a Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband device, you can check your usage via our Telstra Mobile Broadband Pre-Paid usage page.
Step 1 of 3: Login to Telstra.com/myaccount – or register if you haven't already done so.
Step 2: Plans & usage will appear and you will be able to view; recent charges and usage. If you have more than one account, make sure you select the correct account number from the drop-down list. Then click on ‘Data used %' this will take you to the Usage page for the relevant service.
Step 3: You can also view estimated data used, data remaining and days remaining until next cycle.
Step 4: To view and download detailed usage and set up usage notifications – click ‘view detailed data usage':
Step 1 of 9: Download the Telstra 24x7 App to your device from telstra.com/apps or from your app store
Step 2: Open the app on your device, if this is your only Telstra service, press 'Skip login' and then 'I understand', go to step 3. Otherwise, go to step 5
Step 3: Tap the tab named ‘My Usage' - if it's not showing already
Step 4: If it's a Post-paid service:
- You'll see the bar graph showing how much data you have used and how many days you have left on this billing cycle, to use the remaining data
- If your service includes calls, (ie. Not an iPad or Tablet) then under the graph you'll see your pre-bill call usage charges so far for this cycle
Step 5: If you have more than one Telstra Service, then you'll benefit from logging into the app with your My Account details, as it'll allow you to track the usage of all of your linked services. You can log into it from the first time you launch the app or from the 'Settings' tab.
Step 6: If you don't have a My Account set up yet, then tap 'Register for My Account' – this will take you to a web page where you can register. Once registered, relaunch the app and go to step 7
Step 7: If you already have a My Account login, then enter your details and tap 'Login to My Account', and then 'I understand'
Step 8: You'll see a list of your linked service/s – tap the one that you want to see the usage for
Step 9: If it's a post paid service – see Step 4, if it's a pre-paid service – see below
To view your usage on other Telstra Pre-Paid mobiles or mobile broadband on a tablet follow these steps:
Step 1 of 3: Connect to m.telstra.com Mobile portal by selecting the icon your handset, or type m.telstra.com into your mobile's browser and save it as a bookmark.
Step 2: Click on to the ‘my tab' at the top of the screen to see information on My Plan Manager
Step 3: Select the ‘view Data Usage' and follow the on-screen instructions:
You should see the following icons for you to access:
- Total data allowance
- Data remaining
- Percentage of data used
- Days remaining to use the data
- A graph showing the data allowances and amount of remaining data
- A view of the current billing period as a list
